Infamous: Festival of Blood is very similar in gameplay style to the base Infamous 2 game, giving players complete control over Cole's extremely powerful abilities. This is forgivable though, mostly due to the explosive gameplay the story affords.
While the tone and concept of Festival of Blood's storyline are enough to get you motivated, the plot itself falters in execution. Plagued with the vampire curse himself, Cole has eight hours to solve the mysteries of New Marais' vampire problem, working alongside a mysterious figure known as Bloody Mary. After taking interest in his comic book, Zeke weaves a tale of fright about Cole's attempts to rid the city of a vampire infestation. Although the story still focuses on Cole McGrath, the plot itself is told by Cole's best friend Zeke, as he attempts to impress an attractive woman at a bar.
